Christopher Velez, MD, is the Associate Program Director of the Advanced Fellowship in Functional and Gastrointestinal Motility Disorders at the MGH Center for Neurointestinal Health. He focuses on neurogastroenterology and motility disorders, as well as their management/application in special communities of interest, such as historically marginalized ones and people with cystic fibrosis. He sits on various committees of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. He received a 2023 Health Equity Research Award from the ACG. He has also been selected for the ACG Early Career and Clinical Research Leadership Programs.
