Kim Orleck, PA-C, MPH, earned a BA in psychology from Emory University before completing her Master of Public Health in nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After working as a registered and clinical dietitian, she went on to complete her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Emory University. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Ms. Orleck joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2009. She treats all GI conditions and has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease. In addition to her clinical role, she serves as senior director of advanced practice providers (APPs) at United Digestive, where she oversees a team of more than 100 APPs. Ms. Orleck is also an adjunct faculty member at Emory School of Medicine’s Physician Assistant Program and regularly teaches students at both Emory and Mercer Universities. Beyond university life, she serves on the Board of Trustees for Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers, and contributes to the ACG Advanced Practice Providers Committee and ACG Practice Management Committee. In 2022, she was honored with the ACG inaugural Physician Assistant Award for Clinical Excellence. Ms. Orleck is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, and the American Dietetic Association.
