Somashekar Krishna, MD, MPH, FACG, is a professor of Medicine and the director of Advanced Endoscopy at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSU) in Columbus, OH. With over 200 peer-reviewed publications, he has made significant contributions to the field. Dr. Krishna has received several grants, including NIH/NCI R01 funding, to support his research on accurately differentiating pancreatic cysts using novel technologies. He has also authored multiple book chapters, including contributions to Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine. Dr. Krishna's expertise and leadership have played a pivotal role in the growth of advanced endoscopy and pancreatology at OSU. As an expert in the management of pancreatic cystic lesions, he has organized and directed numerous international and national workshops centering on the utilization of EUS-guided confocal endomicroscopy.
