Jonathan A. Leighton, MD, FACG, is a Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He is the Immediate Past President of the ACG. In addition, he was the past Medical Director of the Office of Mayo Clinic Experience for the Mayo Enterprise. He is past Chair of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and past Director of the IBD Clinic at Mayo Arizona. He is also the past Medical Director for the Office of Joy and Wellbeing in Arizona. Dr. Leighton's research interests include inflammatory bowel disease and small bowel imaging techniques, including capsule endoscopy and deep enteroscopy.
