John Erikson Yap, MD, MBA, FACG, DABOM, is an Associate Professor of Medicine for the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Utah Health. Dr. Yap is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, where he is a member of the luminal therapeutics team focused on advancing the diagnosis and treatment of complex gastrointestinal conditions through patient-centered, innovative care. Board-certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and obesity medicine, Dr. Yap brings an integrative and comprehensive approach to gastrointestinal care. He is a Fellow of the ACP, ACG, and ASGE, and he remains actively involved in national professional societies through service on committees for both ACG and ASGE.
