Shabana Pasha MD, FACG, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Mayo Clinic Arizona. She serves as Medical Director of Access Management and Chair of Access Review Council, Mayo Clinic Arizona. She is a core faculty for GIH Nutrition block at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Dr. Pasha is current Chair of ASGE, Small Bowel Enteroscopy SIG, and the ACG Governor for Arizona. She completed Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic Rochester, and GIH Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona. She is an international expert in capsule endoscopy and small bowel enteroscopy, has presented in national and international meetings, and widely published in this area. She has co-authored several practice guidelines on the ASGE Standards of Practice Committee. She is co-founder of the Mayo Clinic IBD biobank, and engaged in research on IBD biomarkers, new small bowel devices and artificial intelligence. She has led efforts that have resulted in successful implementation of AI to support patient communications within all practices across Mayo Clinic.
