Shruti Mony, MD, is an associate professor of medicine and therapeutic gastroenterologist at the University of Oklahoma/OU Health in Oklahoma City. She is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Mony earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India, completed her internal medicine residency at Creighton University’s Phoenix campus, and pursued a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Florida. She completed an additional two-year advanced fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. At OU Health, Dr. Mony is leading the development of an EndoHepatology program, integrating advanced endoscopic techniques into hepatology care, including EUS-guided liver biopsies, portal pressure measurements, shear wave elastography, variceal management, and post-liver transplant interventions. Her research centers on clinical outcomes in interventional endoscopy, and she has received multiple national honors for teaching and humanism, including the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.
