Po-Hung (Victor) Chen, MD, PhD, FACG, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. A practicing transplant hepatologist and addiction specialist, he holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Transplant Hepatology, and Addiction Medicine. His research, supported by the National Institutes of Health, focuses on the intersections of substance use disorder, alcohol-associated liver disease, and liver transplantation. Dr. Chen currently serves on the ACG Practice Parameters Committee as a member of the Lauren Gerson GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations) Program. He also previously served on the AASLD Practice Guidelines Committee.
