Tilak Shah, MD, MHS, FACG, is an interventional endoscopist and clinical researcher who leads the multidisciplinary Pancreas Center at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital as Medical Director in the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. He is also an affiliate clinical associate professor of medicine at Florida Atlantic University Schmidt College of Medicine. Dr. Shah’s current areas of active investigation include: Randomized trial of GLP-1 and GIP agonists before endoscopy; Risk of acute pancreatitis with GLP-1 and GIP agonists; Risk of pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis with mildly elevated lipase; Spray cryotherapy in locally advanced esophageal cancer; RCT of cold EMR vs. hybrid cold EMR for large and complex colon polyps; and RCT of virtual reality headset to improve ergonomics in endoscopy.
