Vascular Technology manufactures Doppler systems for a variety of surgical specialties.  The VTI Selectable Depth Doppler System is a sound breakthrough in the treatment of acute peptic ulcer hemorrhage. By incorporating a probe that can be passed down a 2.8mm endoscope channel, this system identifies persistent blood flow in an ulcer base after hemostatic treatment. Clinical studies demonstrate that ulcers that are Doppler positive after treatment are at significantly increased risk for recurrent hemorrhage. With this previously unattainable marker, endoscopists can now make immediate clinical judgments about the need for additional therapy.
