Tauseef Ali, MD, FACG, is a consultant gastroenterologist and IBD specialist at SSM Health Saint Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma. He is the medical executive director of SSM Health Digestive Institute and Director of Crohn’s and Colitis Center. He is a clinical associate professor at the University of Oklahoma and adjunct faculty at Oklahoma State University. He is an active member of the ACG, AGA, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Dr. Ali is the author of Crohn’s and Colitis for Dummies, a book by Wiley Publishers. He regularly tweets through his educational Twitter account @ibdtweets and is the founder and moderator of the social media international ibd Journal club (@ibdclub). He is the director of professional development activities of the South Asian IBD Alliance (SAIA). Dr. Ali has recently completed 6 terms as ACG Governor for the Oklahoma Chapter and its Public Relations Committee chairperson. Currently, Dr. Ali is serving as a member of the ACG's Institute Board of Directors. He was the recipient of the 2023 ACG Community Service Award. He was awarded the 2022 Saint Luke Award by SSM Health for his contributions and leadership at SSM Health ministry. In 2024, Dr Ali was honored with the Journal Record Health Care Hero Award as well as the 2024 Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Health Care Hero Award.
