Juan Carlos Bucobo, MD, is the Vice President of Gastroenterology Services for the Northwell Health System, President and Executive Director of the Northwell Health Gastroenterology Institute & IPA, and recent past President of the New York Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (NYSGE). He is an academic interventional gastroenterologist at North Shore University Hospital and a Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is committed to developing programs of excellence in gastroenterology and ensuring the delivery of top-notch, quality care to the local communities Northwell Health serves. His clinical expertise is in gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy with a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of complicated pancreaticobiliary disorders and in the resection of gastrointestinal lesions by minimally invasive, endoscopic approaches. He is passionate about delivering state-of-the-art therapeutic advanced endoscopy care with compassion and sensitivity to the needs of patients and their families.
