Dustin Carlson MD, MSCI, is an Associate Professor at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Director of Motility at the Kenneth C. Griffin Esophageal Center of Northwestern Medicine. He is also the Director of the center’s Advanced Esophagology Fellowship. His research focuses on achalasia, esophageal motility disorders, and EoE is funded by the NIH. He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications as well as guidelines for the ACG and AGA. He is also an active member of the ACG research committee, the North American FLIP Panometry working group, and the International High Resolution Manometry Working Group. Overall, his work seeks to improve understanding of and clinical approaches for esophageal diseases to improve the care of affected patients.
