James Leavitt, MD, FACG, is a practicing gastroenterologist previously was President/Chief Clinical Officer of Gastro Health, a large multifaceted GI platform group consisting of more than 600 providers across 7 states. Gastro Health was the first GI platform group to partner with a private equity firm. He has been on the practice management committees for the ACG and the ASGE. He was a two-term ACG Governor for the South Florida region. Dr. Leavitt is an associate professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, for Florida International University Medical School in Miami.
