Kristle Lee Lynch, MD, is currently a Professor of Clinical Medicine and the Director of the Esophageal Center at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lynch received her undergraduate degree and medical training at Northwestern University. She then went on to complete her medical residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and her Gastroenterology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution where she served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Lynch specializes in complex esophageal diseases. Her clinical and research interests include Eosinophilic Esophagitis, achalasia, esophageal motility disorders including EGJOO, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and rare esophageal disorders. She is an Associate Editor for Diseases of the Esophagus and serves on the international EndoFLIP Working group. Dr. Lynch is the founder and program director of the Advanced Esophageal Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she serves as the Director of the GI Physiology laboratory for the Division of Gastroenterology. She has been offered clinical grant funding by both the ACG and AGA. She is actively involved in numerous clinical trials and registry studies that are conducted at the University of Pennsylvania Esophageal Center.
