Jesse Stondell, MD, is Director of Bariatric Endoscopy Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stondell is a locally trained gastroenterologist with a primary focus on inflammatory bowel disease. His medical center provides a modern approach to treatment with experts in nutrition, pharmacy, and surgery to provide complete care for the IBD patient. He also specializes in unsedated colonoscopy/water colonoscopy for those who prefer to avoid opiates/sedatives during their procedures, and performs specialized chromoendoscopy for IBD patients who need more advanced colon cancer screening. Dr. Stondell aims to provide the best possible care for a challenging chronic condition, with the goal of preventing progression of disease and improving quality of life. Dr. Stondell's research interests include clinical trials for new medications related to IBD treatment, and water colonoscopy trials.
