Joan Chen, MD, MS, is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan, the Director of the Esophageal Motility Program, and the Clinical Chief of Esophageal Service Line. She completed her general GI fellowship and an advanced esophageal fellowship at Northwestern University, where she also completed a degree in Master of Clinical Investigation. Dr. Chen's research interests include esophageal motility disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and eosinophilic esophagitis.
