Katie Farah, MD, CPE, MMM, has been a therapeutic gastroenterologist at Allegheny Health Network (AHN) since 2005 after completion of residency and GI fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She served as Quality Officer for the Division of Gastroenterology in 2015 and activated the GIQuIC platform for numerous hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers at AHN. She went on to obtain her Master's in Medical Management at Carnegie Mellon University and then became Chief Medical Officer of Wexford Hospital located outside of Pittsburgh. She is now the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of Quality for Physician Partners of Western Pennsylvania, a clinically integrated network, as part of AHN and Highmark Health. Dr. Farah has also received the designation of Certified Physician Executive from the American Association for Physician Leadership. She is a Fellow of the ASGE and serves on the Board of Directors for GIQuIC.
